The spiral galaxy D100 with a 200k light-years long gas tail...

The spiral galaxy D100 with a 200k light-years long gas tail that is 400k times massive than our Sun & a star-forming region, moved through the hot gas in a coma cluster of galaxies. The red path is due to gravitationaly weak outer gases being stripped away by ram pressure. Credit:NASA,ESA,HUBBLE via /r/spaceporn http://bit.ly/2FWY1di
