The North American Nebula sits in the constellation Cygnus, near the bright blue star Deneb. It is nearly four times the size of the moon in the sky, however, it is faint (at 1600 light-years away) and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Here is a single shot from a camera.[OC][1642x1095] via /r/spaceporn http://ift.tt/2IGCymZ
