Even though Mount Kinabalu is on an island in the South China Sea, with an altitude of over 13,000ft, the climbing on the severely overhanging big wall on Mount Kinabalu’s north side can feel quite alpine. To access the 2500ft wall, the team had to descent over 1000ft into Low’s Gully to climb up the other side. Here @alexhonnold climbs through one of the lower pitches while attempting a new route on this remote big wall. @thephotosociety by natgeo http://ift.tt/1YHmUKY
